The Washington Post Magazine has the capability to zone preprinted bind-in cards, blow-in cards and inserts to specific zip codes and zip zones. The minimum distribution is 300,000 pieces. For more information, see your Washington Post Account Manager.

Distribution & Requirements

  • Bind-in cards, blow-in cards, multiple page preprinted inserts and catalogues are accepted in The Washington Post Magazine. The Magazine has the capability to zone preprinted bind-in cards, blow-in cards and inserts to specific zip codes and zip zones. Distribution for all cards and inserts ranges from approximately 300,000 to full-run. Minimum buys include either VIP distribution or alternative regional zones in Northern Virginia or Maryland/D.C. Availability is limited in each issue. All rates assume advertiser supplies cards and/or inserts.
  • For bind-in cards, the minimum card size is 35/8" height by 51/8" width plus a 31/2" tab. If the bind-in card is less than full-page in size, the card must be accompanied by a full-run, 1/2 page horizontal advertisement. The minimum size for blow-in cards is 31/2" height by 4" width. The maximum blow-in card size is 6" x 6."
  • Full-run distribution of blow-in cards may not be available in all issues. Full delivery of blow-in cards cannot be guaranteed.
  • Multiple page preprints and catalogues are accepted to be bound into the center of The Magazine. Centerspread position premium will apply. The Magazine can arrange printing. Printing estimates are available upon request.
  • Bind-in cards, blow-in cards, preprinted inserts and catalogues must be submitted to The Washington Post Magazine in blueline form for approval of content and mechanical requirements prior to being supplied for insertion. Materials will be accepted and prices finalized only after all materials are reviewed by The Magazine publisher’s office. Consult Magazine production manager for complete specifications, position availability, shipping instructions and exact quantities required. Late or poorly supplied and shipped inserts will incur additional production charges.
