for The Washington Post Magazine

  • Circulation: Total Average Paid Circulation, ABC Publisher’s Statement, September 28, 2008. Sunday Circulation: 878,110.
  • Publication Date: The Magazine is published and distributed on Sunday with The Washington Post. In 2010, The Magazine will not publish an issue on January 10th.
  • Format: The Magazine is printed heatset-offset and saddle stitched with 55 lb. coated cover stock and 35 lb. supercalendared (SCA) text stock. Trim size is 7.5" x 10.5". Three columns per page.

Magazine Fulfillment Newspaper Agreements

Advertising dollars used to purchase space in The Magazine (including full-run and VIP advertising, preprinted inserts, bind-in cards, blow-in cards and color, position and remnant charges) count double towards The Washington Post annual revenue agreements. Charges for production services (including gatefolds, split-runs, prepress and printing work) do not count towards annual revenue agreements. Remnant rate advertising in The Magazine does not fulfill magazine agreements.

Agency Commissons

A 15% commission is allowed to qualified advertising agencies. No cash discount. Payment of account is not dependent upon receipt of tearsheets.

Late Cancellation Fee

A 25% fee will be charged for any ad cancelled after the “Space Reservations and Kill Orders” deadline specified in the Magazine’s “Specifications and Deadlines” rate card. The fee will be based on 25% of the price of the ad had the ad not been cancelled.
