Magazine Market Rates
for Retail Industry Advertising in The Washington Post Magazine
The Magazine Market directory is published weekly in a three-column page format. In 2007, The Magazine will not publish an issue on January 7th.
Both lightface and display classified ads are accepted. Frequency discounts may be earned from either consecutive insertions or with an annual agreement based on the following schedules:
Deadline is Friday, noon, 30 days prior to publication.
A separate Magazine Market agreement must be signed in advance to qualify for frequency rates. Agreement rates are based on the number of issues in which an advertiser participates during a one-year period.

Minimum ad sizes
- Lightface: 3 agate lines
- Display: 1 column inch, then in .25 inch increments
- Maximum Depth: 4 column inches
- Ads available in 1 column width only.
