PostPoints

PostPoints is rewards program designed to strengthen The Washington Post’s long-standing relationship with readers and advertisers, by rewarding members for visiting and transacting with PostPoints Spot retail partners.

The program is an innovative twist on the reward-program concept: both subscribers and single-copy buyers can earn PostPoints by interacting online and off with The Post and its other publications, as well as through advertiser opportunities and by volunteering with designated non-profits. Subscribers can also earn points by shopping at businesses that they visit all the time, including retailers, grocery stores, drugstores, theaters and many others. PostPoints can be redeemed for everything from free pizza to a golfing party in Ireland. More than 100 businesses with thousands of locations are partners in the PostPoints program.

PostPoints features partner businesses (PostPoint Spots) through the program Web site, and highlights places to earn points in a daily program column in the newspaper's Metro section. The program is designed to benefit home delivery subscribers when they visit participating merchants by awarding PostPoints to them. Consumers are also rewarded with points for giving back to the community through specific volunteer activities. PostPoints members can then redeem points for a range of rewards that are paid for by The Washington Post, such as gift certificates good at the participating advertisers who are PostPoints Spot partners.
